Kids Day with their Aunt and Uncle – Boone Scenic Valley Railroad

When we took our “Day off from Parenting“, we left the kids with my Sister and Brother-in-Law while we visited Ames, IA and Reimen Gardens!

Now it’s time to see just how much fun the kids had!

We dropped the kids off around 11 AM with their Aunt “MeMe” and Uncle George.

Shortly after, they treated the kids to lunch at what is quite possibly Logan’s favorite place on the planet!

McDonalds!

Afterwards, it was time for the one hour drive to Boone, IA and the

Boone Scenic Valley Railroad!

Listening to my son go on and on about his “Train Trip” he had a GREAT TIME.

Zoey had so much fun playing with the wooden toys!

Boone Scenic RailroadAfter checking out the sites, it was time to board the train and head out for an awesome trip down the 11.3 Mile long track.

My sister spoiled the kids with snacks and some fun stuff from the gift shop too!

Logan got an awesome conductors hat and a fun train whistle.  Zoey got herself a brand new Pink Dog “Stuffie” too.

In the end

The kids had an AMAZING time with their Aunt and Uncle!

Meli and I thank them so much for taking them on such a wonderful adventure!

It sure is! My sister and Bro-in-law absolutely love their niece and nephew and would do just about anything for them.

It’s so nice knowing they are in good hands when they want to take them for the day.

It’s also nice getting that rare break from the kids as well even though I love both the little stinkers more than anything!
