It’s been a week now since I began the Red Blue Challenge and I’m still WAY out of shape!
Here is what I’ve learned during my first week.
Sticking to the challenge is hard.. like REALLY HARD!
Seams like everywhere I go, there’s “Bad” foods and drinks just waiting to entice me!
Soda Soda Everywhere and not a drop I should drink!
I’ve managed to stay away from fast food although I did have a couple soda’s during the “Lake Trip” over the weekend.
I’m finding that giving up Soda is by far the hardest part of this challenge.
Every restaurant, every gas station, every time I walk into a grocery store. There it is!
Before starting the challenge, I was drinking A LOT of soda. I’d guess it was close to a 6 pack a day.
This week I’ve managed to only drink about a 6 pack the WHOLE week.
This afternoon, we’ll be doing some shopping and my plan is to avoid the soda at all costs and grab myself some bottled waters.
Can I make it the whole week without drinking soda? I think I can!
Food wise, I think I’ve been doing alright.
Even before I started the challenge, I was on a mission to stop eating out at “Fast Food” chains. Which was crazy hard at first, but I’m discovering that the foods I make at home tend to be WAY better.
I do feel like I could use more Fruits and Vegetables in my diet though, so today I’ll be picking up more of those as well.
Anyone got any great and healthy recipes? I’d love to try em out!
As you can see, I still have a lot of work to go.
I didn’t get to the sit ups and push ups during the “Lake Trip” this weekend, but I did get a pretty decent workout chasing the kids around all weekend.
As soon as I hit “Publish” on this post, I’ll be diving into the routine!
Getting in front of the camera is still pretty hard for me to do. I’m sure it will get easier as time goes by and I start gaining a better “Self Image”. So I’ll be working on that this week as well!
I’d like to thank every one of you out there who have shown me such great support. It really helps motivate me to keep pushing myself to be better.
Of course, my wife and kids have been a great motivation too.
I have a feeling these next few weeks are going to be tough. Especially as my soda cravings really kick in, but I think I can manage.
